Domaine Le Teilhet

On a hill in the valley of the Dordogne, where the river winds through the impressive landscape and nearby the Medieval village Argentat , is located Domaine Le Teilhet.

Le Teilhet is situated on a sunny south slope where the sun shines abundantly and has a nice mix of sea-, land and mediterranean climate. The winters are mild and the summers are warm but not too extreme. Most of the time there is a gentle breeze on the slope, which brings a pleasant coolness in the summer.

You can enjoy the peace, the views and calmness of the surroundings of the Domaine. It was rebuilt in 1814 on the ruins of an old winecastle and now has in addition to the main house, three lovely gites. It’s a perfect place to discover the beautiful region of the Correze.

The Surroundings

The Correze, with the beautiful Valley of the Dordogne has quite a lot to offer: the picturesque villages like Colon-la rouge and Rocamadour and the beautiful nature with the impressive waterfalls of Gimel and Muriel. In the immediate vicinity you can take lovely walks and visit the cosy markets of the region.

If you want to relax and read a nice book, our swimming pool is the place to be where you can take a nap and enjoy the view.

You could also explore the surroundings bij bike, with lots of possibilities for mountain biking or road cycling. At a small distance of the Domaine you can climb rocks at the Fia Ferrata, rent a canoe or a Sup and float on the river the Dordogne. Fly fishermen can prove their luck at stunning places along the river.

Within an hour drive there are also four beautiful golf courses where you can play  9 or 18 holes.

Welcome to Domaine le Teilhet - gites. We are Dianne and Eric and we invite you to a lovely stay at our gites. Since May 2022 we are the proud residents of this quiet and peaceful Domaine in the Correze. In addition to hospitable owners we are both entrepreneurs in Healthcare, F&B and leisure. Hospitality, care and relaxation comes together at our Domaine.
